大一新生英语自我介绍

Hello everyone,

I am a freshman at university. It is a pleasure to have the opportunity to introduce myself today.

I come from a small town in China and I have always been passionate about languages and communication. That is why I decided to pursue a degree in English. I believe that being proficient in English will open doors for me, both academically and professionally.

During my high school years, I actively participated in various English competitions and won several awards. These experiences not only improved my language skills but also boosted my confidence in public speaking. I am excited to continue honing my English skills in college and explore new areas of study within the language.

Apart from academics, I enjoy engaging in extracurricular activities. In high school, I was a member of the school's debate team, which allowed me to develop critical thinking skills and learn how to effectively present arguments. I also volunteered at a local orphanage, where I taught English to the children. It was a rewarding experience to see their progress and witness the impact that language learning can have on their lives.

In my free time, I like to read books, watch movies, and listen to music. These activities not only help me relax but also improve my language comprehension. I also enjoy traveling and exploring new cultures, as it broadens my perspective and enhances my understanding of different people and their traditions.

I am looking forward to the challenges and opportunities that university life has to offer. I hope to make new friends, join clubs, and actively participate in campus events. I believe that by immersing myself in a multicultural environment, I will further improve my English skills and develop a global mindset.
